Brighton revisited

Finally lucked out with some good weather for a fashion shoot on Brighton beach yesterday, I swear it was even slightly warm at some points. Having said that, once the sun started to fade it got really cold really quickly, I still need to get hold of some sort of custom gloves for taking photos in.

Into The Void

At the weekend I visited the birthplace of Heavy Metal, Birmingham, in order to attend the appropriately titled 'Home of Metal' exhibition/event. One of the highlights of the day was being able to make your own badge featuring your favourite midlands rock legend. As you can see above, Hoppy chose Tony Iommi. For more on this peep the next issue of Plus 1.

Neil Smith

Here's Smithy boardsliding the handrail around the back of Livingston Skatepark, June 2005. You can just about see the copper trying to get out of Neil's way on the left hand side. For another view of what was going on check the footage here (that's me in the red jacket).

Enter the Dutang

This is an outtake from a trip to Marseille I did a while back. Sometimes there just isn't enough space to run everything, but hopefully more stuff like this can see the light of day here now. Jerome Dutang, Frontside Boardslide onto a slippery beach.

Frida Hyvönen

I recently visited Stockholm to photograph the super talented Frida Hyvönen. I don't think her new album is out in the UK yet (it's really good by the way) but you can see her play at Bush Hall tonight.
